Finite Time The aged Writer sits before his tableFinite Time by ~PraetorianElite
Pondering his last and superb fable.
His wiry frame sits and hopes to fuse
On final time with his imperfect muse.
His wrinkled hand quivers and grasps at the pen
As he summons up gods, heroes, his daemons, and men.
The ink becomes magic and –lo! a story is told!
This particular yarn contains many a fold.
He tries to retain the great power of tale,
He knows this assignment will most likely fail.
The aged Writer feels his strength is a-waning.
He begins to understand: The final chapter is dawning.
The pen falls from his hand; lands on a stack of paper.
The Writer looks to see an all-to-familia
For All Eternity The moonlight sparkles upon her eyesFor All Eternity by ~PraetorianElite
She reaches out to me.
I take her close and hold her tight
But know it will never be.
She let me pass, on through her life
Much like a fleeting bird.
Unknown to her my heart did break
Upon her fateful words.
She missed the oaths true meaning,
When I swore life and loyalty.
My banner, and sword stand by her side
For all eternity.
